What is Getting to Year Two @ CSU?
Getting to Year Two @ CSU is a one day conference in the spring in the Lory Student Center for first year students (in their second semester) and current transfer students. Students will be able to select breakout sessions to attend throughout the day. Sessions will provide students with information and resources to assist students with the transition to a second year at CSU.
What will I gain by attending this conference?
This conference provides an amazing opportunity for students to gain resources, information, have the opportunity to connect with CSU faculty and staff as well as other students to help students be successful here @ CSU.
What sessions are offered?
Session topics range from: how to find research opportunities, how to build connections with faculty, stress management, studying abroad, moving off campus for the first time, exploring majors and careers, and more. For a sample conference schedule click here.
If I have class can I still attend?
Yes, the conference will take place all day with a free breakfast and a lunch (with a keynote speaker). Sessions will be offered multiple times throughout the day, so feel free to pick and choose what you’d like to attend.
Does it cost anything to attend this conference?
