Getting To Year Two

Please encourage your student to register for the 2013 Getting to Year 2 @ CSU Conference.

Overview of the Conference

Getting to Year 2 @ CSU is a two day conference for first year students (in their second semester). Students are able to select breakout sessions to attend throughout the day. Sessions provide students with information and resources to assist with the transition to a second year at CSU. Research states that in their second year, students begin to feel challenges associated with academics, establishing future goals, finances and feeling a connection to campus, faculty and more.

There are many benefits for students attending the conference including:
  • Engaging in discussion about important second year student issues
  • Networking with campus faculty, staff, and first year peers
  • Learning valuable skills
