
What is Ram Welcome?
All new first-year and transfer students attend Ram Welcome the four days before classes begin. It builds upon the orientation experience (including Preview, Next Step, and CSU Connect) for new students once they have arrived on campus in the fall. Ram Welcome begins on Thursday, August 22, 2013 and continues through the weekend before classes begin. Ram Welcome is designed to assist new students with the transition to CSU by creating community, connecting new students to resources and helping new students learn what it means to be a CSU Ram!
When does Ram Welcome begin?
New students living in the residence halls (and their parent and family members) check-in to Ram Welcome when they check-in to their residence hall on Thursday, August 22, 2013. New students living off campus, Adult, Veteran and Transfer Students (and their parent and family members) check-in to Ram Welcome between 12 p.m.- 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 (RW program begins at 4 p.m.). International Students will attend a week-long comprehensive orientation program that includes Ram Welcome. For more information, visit: http://www.otp.colostate.edu/1international.aspx. Once students are checked-in, Ram Welcome Leaders will lead and guide new students through the Ram Welcome experience throughout the weekend.
How do I know who my Ram Welcome Leader is?
New students will find out who their Ram Welcome Leader is when they check-in to Ram Welcome on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Ram Welcome Leaders are the primary student leadership team behind Ram Welcome who guide and connect new students throughout the four day experience! Are parent & family members invited to attend Ram Welcome?
Yes! There are programs specific to parent and family members during Ram Welcome. Please note, parent and family programming ends on Friday, August 23, 2013 at noon. What is the difference between Ram Welcome and Ram Camp?
Ram Camp is a program for new students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Ram Camp activities do not conflict with the Ram Welcome schedule and students are able to attend both. The Ram Camp experience begins during the College Welcome on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 9:30am. There are additional Ram Camp activities in the afternoon on Friday, August 23, 2013. If I am moving into my residence hall early, how do I check-in to Ram Welcome?
You will need to stop by the Ram Welcome table in your residence hall to check-in to the Ram Welcome program on Thursday, August 22, 2013 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to receive your Ram Welcome materials.
