Your application must include, in PARAGRAPH form, a statement explaining WHY you are interested in the position, and WHAT you would like to accomplish in your role. This statement will be used during online voting and should highlight why you think you are the best candidate for the position. Please spend some time writing this statement before starting the application process.

Tau Sigma is successful only with the efforts and dedication of many individuals. These individuals are responsible for providing leadership by creating a strategic plan for recruiting and inducting new members and providing opportunities for the members to involve themselves in activities on campus and in the community.

Positions and Duties

President

The president prepares the agenda for all officer meetings and chapter meetings. He/she leads all meetings and is responsible for the planning and execution of the induction ceremony each year in April.

Vice President

The vice president is responsible for maintaining the membership of the organization. The vice president will also assume the responsibilities of the president if the president is unable to attend a meeting or event and co-coordinate chapter publicity with the Treasurer. Other responsibilities include planning socials for the chapter.

Secretary

The secretary is responsible for keeping attendance and minutes at all meetings and functions. The secretary also organizes all community service projects.

Treasurer

The treasurer is responsible for keeping up with the finances of the chapter. The treasurer will also prepare an annual budget. Other responsibilities include coordinating chapter publicity (flyers, t-shirts, etc.).

Requirements

Applicants must be a full-time student at CSU in good standing, available the full academic year through May 2013 and enrolled in classes at the main CSU campus in Fort Collins. The time commitment is minimal and is based on the activities of the organization.
