The transfer student population at Colorado State University is growing and very diverse! Transfers come from many different institutions and have great stories to share. Transfer students typically have unique experiences and an enhanced understanding of college life.
As a transfer student we know you have college experience and understand what it means to be a college student. Let us assist you in your transition to a new institution and help you understand what it means to be a student at Colorado State University. We have created a number of programs specifically for transfer students aimed at helping you transition to CSU and become a part of our community. Transfer Ram Welcome
Transfer Ram Welcome has been designed to assist transfer students in becoming a part of the CSU community, learn about important resources and services, and discover traditions that define what it means to be a CSU Ram.
Transfer Student Communities
Orientation and Transition Programs has developed a number of communities for new transfer students with an interest in learning more about the resources at CSU while making connections with other transfer students, faculty, and staff.
Transfer Mentoring Program
The Transfer Mentoring Program is designed to create meaningful relationships for new transfer students that will serve to help establish them at Colorado State University.
Tau Sigma National Honor Society
The Tau Sigma National Honor Society is an academic honor society designed specifically to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.
Transfer Student Association (TSA)
The Transfer Student Association is a student initiated and student lead organization that provides transfer students leadership and networking opportunities, a place to meet people and make friends, and to get involved with the CSU community Check us out on Facebook!
Academic Success 101
The purpose of Academic Success 101 is to introduce you to a community dedicated to enhancing your academic performance. Whether you are here because you are failing a course, or you simply want to perform at a higher lever, this program will assess areas of challenge in your current approach and provide recommendations for campus services and resources to get you back on track.
Transfer Programs @ CSU and Campus Recreation Outdoor Programs have partnered to create outdoor experiences for transfer students! These programs provide transfer students the opportunity to connect with other students and experience the northern Colorado outdoors. These programs are offered during the fall and spring semester.
Transfer Student Experience Committee (TSEC)
The Transfer Student Experience Committee proposes actions, policies, and procedures to improve recruitment, retention and graduation rates of transfer students. Monthly meetings are co-chaired by Paul Giberson, Coordinator for Transfer Programs in the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs, and Kathy Klein, the Associate Director of Admission for the Transfer Student Center. Recommendations are forwarded to the Advisory Committee on Undergraduate Affairs for consideration.
